Summer – the season of Fire

20130524-154415.jpg

Summer is expansive. Summer is full of life. Summer generates heat. It takes all the influences that have been building from Earth and Air (Winter and Spring) and it turns them UP.

Summer brings the best and worst out of us. If you are a follower of our blogs, or are part of our Life Coaching/Wellness Program, you have been moving through each year preparing and releasing as each season designates.

Summer is the time of year that brings all focus to your progress. Summer moves us quickly and keeps all energy high. Our efforts throughout the prior months will now pay off as we effortlessly reap the benefits of our “change seeds”.

However, if since the beginning of Winter, you left some things fall to the wayside in your self-improvement program  — you are just about to meet them.

If you wanted to work on being more calm but didn’t take the time — meet anxiety. If you wanted to work on flexibility but did other things — meet aches and pains. If you wanted to reduce your weight and tone your body, but let cold, dark days deter you — meet the revealing, light clothes of Summer.  If you wanted to work on mindfulness but let life get in the way — meet chaotic emotions.

Summer intensifies the Light and turns up the heat on very Beings.  If there are flaws — we are going to be aware of them  now.  However,  it doesn’t have to be a hard Summer. You can still use Summer’s excessive energy to create the life you desire. But you will have some bumps along the way.

Summer’s fast energy, heat and excessive focus can be balanced by having what is called “an open heart.”  This means that you create or remain open in your heart Chakra.  Your feelings focus on the positive aspects of the Heart, rather than the negative. You promote a healthy Heart through care and mindfulness each day.

In Ayurvedic, Tibetan, Native American and TCM healing practices, Summer is described as the season of the Heart. Emotions run fast and strong. The blood tends to thin and flow quickly. If your Heart is open, you will experience even more growth and expansiveness. If your Heart is closed, you may experience issues such as higher blood pressure, nervousness, anxiety and other problems connected with circulation.

One way you can release your Heart energy is to listen and chant  this mantra at least once a day.  Before or after you have listened and chanted  this mantra, practice the  breath work and palming techniques described in our previous blog, “Summer-Are You Ready For It?”.  This will place you in a more calm, serene state of Being.  As you chant the mantra, visualize a healing Heart; a Heart that is fed with nourishing blood and oxygen; a heart that opens and closes easily as the blood flows through each chamber.  Then focus your intention on softening the Heart. Let all anger, frustration and discord fall gently from the Heart. Perhaps you can picture it in your mind like an exterior shell made up of old, brittle clay that breaks off. And as the dusty clay breaks off it reveals underneath, the soft pulsing Heart. Alive and well.

This is the mantra.  Please chant this mantra at least once each day:  Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

This mantra helps the Spirit obtain freedom. It sends out the call of the Heart. This heart-felt call is heard and responded to immediately — and without fail. Celebrate this mantra daily and set your Spirit free. Let your Spirit  soar High and take your Heart out of peril.  Namaste

This video will help you chant the mantra:  http://youtu.be/aifSjuyeE5M

Now as I chant my daily mantra, I will hear your voices with mine in such beautiful, celestial harmony. As we chant together each day, we will release our Hearts and build an Summer energy full of  compassion.  Love goes out to you.
